Description
A few years ago I was fortunate to go to the south of France and paint. It was the summer and the poppy season had passed. I was able to imagine what it must be like to be there enjoying the blooms. I am was also inspired by the beautiful poppies at my local farmers' market that I often paint. I created this playful abstract field of flowers, inspired by impressionistic paintings. I was able to imagine the flowers dancing in the fields. This painting is colorful and filled with lots of different brush strokes and textures.
