Description
Every summer, my family and I visited a beautiful place called Mohonk Mountain House in the Hudson Valley. With my camera in hand, I would hike up the mountain to the Lilypond. I recall listening and watching the critters, such as frogs, turtles, and of course, dragonflies.
I have a collection of photographs that I use as a reference for some of my paintings.
This artwork features two happy dragonflies enjoying the pond. It is painted in watercolor and has a green background. This pink water lily is one of the lilies I saw at Mohawk.
I hope you also enjoy pondering lily ponds. Perhaps you will find a special place in your home and your heart with this painting.
